These were pictures from Youth Sunday on Sept. 21. The youth led both services which focused on their experiences this summer when some of them attended the National United Methodist Youth Conference in Orlando, Florida. Thanks to Bill Billings for the great pictures.

HSUMC's first mother's day out was a great success. The kids had a wonderful time playing and learning with Mrs. Pat and the parents were able to get some things done that they otherwise could not have. There is another opportunity in October to take advantage of this great FREE ministry on October 22nd. Remember, if we see that this fills a need, the program may be offered on a continuing basis. Please see the flier below for the details or call the church office should you have any questions.  HighStreet UMC sponsors S.P. Morton Elementary School with the program run by the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia. We financially support the program, as well as receive the food, package it into bags, and deliver the bags to the school twice a month for 60 food insecure children to take the backpacks home.
